Guided O-Week twice a year. We are the only residential college at UQ to provide our own orientation week (O-Week) for new incoming Semester 1 and Semester 2 students. As well as familiarising new students (Freshers) with the University and Brisbane City, they get all the hot tips such as the best phone provider to use for International calls, how to catch public transport, and the best places to hang-out off campus. It’s a great opportunity to bond with other Housies and senior residents help make everyone feel welcome.

Open During Semester Break. We are one of the few on campus residential colleges that remain open during the June/July break. Residents staying for the full year can remain in their rooms over the break and relax while regular cleaning and meal service continues.

InterCollege Sporting Events. You can represent International House in a number of challenges with the other 9 University of Queensland residential colleges. You don’t have to have played before to give it a go and have some fun.
